When lipsticks are oil based the best way to counteract this stain would be to use an oil based cleaner. As for waxes and pigments, solvents are a great solution.
Home remedies for lipstick stains
Tip for removing stains is to delicately work from outer edge of the stain towards the middle.
Also be sure to scrape off any excess lipstick before trying these remedies.
- Liquid Detergent- take a couple drops of liquid detergent to the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes, blot or dab the stain out.
- Hairspray- Spray on and let sit for 15 minutes, using damp cloth wipe off with warm water.
- Rubbing Alcohol- Blot stain until it’s out.
